PFCU Scholarship

2010 Scholarship Application

PFCU has given over $17,000 in scholarships to members wanting to further their education. PFCU is offering two $1,000 scholarships to members of the credit union and you could be the member to win.

If you or any family member are in need of money to help pay college tuition, PFCU Scholarship Program will help ease that burden, by offering two $1,000 scholarships. As with all things in life there is some work involved to apply. Scholarship Applications are available below or you can contact us to have an application mailed to you. The deadline to return your application is March 11, 2010.

Entry Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a member of the credit union in good standing.
  • Applicant must be accepted into accredited college, university, or technical school.
  • Applicant must follow the eligibility requirements in the Scholarship application.
  • Applicant must complete a minimum 500-750 word essay on:

    "Do you believe that the internet's social networking venues, such as Facebook and twitter, are acceptable modes of communication and socialization? In your opinion, do they improve or diminish one's ability to fully and properly communicate and socialize? Explain your reasoning."

Online Instructions:

The scholarship application form was created using Adobe Acrobat ®. You will need Adobe Reader to access the forms. Adobe Reader is a free program that you can access by going to the following website: www.adobe.com

  1. To fill in the application form, select Hand Tool, then drag it over the fields in the PDF form.
  2. The Hand Tool changes to an I-beam (the Text Select Tool, which you use to enter text in a field) when it is placed over a field that you need to complete.
  3. After completing the application you may submit the application via e-mail by doing the following:
    • After filling in the application, click on the save button in Adobe Acrobat.
    • Create an email message addressed to pvoegele@urmycu.com.
    • Attach your saved application to the message.
    • Send the message.
  4. After completing the application you MUST print it out, sign it, and return it to the credit union along with your transcript even if you submit your application via email.
